My First and Last Sunscreen Love: Biore UV Aquarich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++
If you are looking for a cheap and effective anti-ageing
product, sunscreen should most definitely top your list.
When I was first exploring skincare products, I
distinctly remember my dermatologist telling me, after enumerating the various
expensive products that he would like to me to try, that the one thing
that I should never ever forego is the daily application of sunscreen. Not applying sunscreen
is literally and figuratively a deadly sin in skin care!
In my five years of using sunscreen on my face, I
have already tried several brands but I always end up returning to my first
sunscreen love: Biore UV Aquarich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++
(“Biore Aquarich Sunscreen”).
You probably know the saying that you never realize
the importance of what you have until you’ve lost it. In my case with Biore
Aquarich Sunscreen, my love for this product is reinforced every time I try
other sunscreens. I always end up disposing the other sunscreens that I’ve
tried (some not even half used) because they just couldn’t live up to Biore
Aquarich Sunscreen.
You may ask why I still tried other sunscreens if
Biore Aquarich Sunscreen already works for me. Surely there were also times in
your life where you’d want to try something thinking that it would provide a
better alternative or just for the heck of trying something new or because your
friends give it glowing recommendations (talk about peer pressure, tsk tsk!).
Let me enumerate the reasons why I love Biore
Aquarich Sunscreen.
First, it has SPF 50+ PA++++.
Sun Protection Factor or SPF measure a sunscreen’s
ability to block ultraviolet B (“UVB”) radiation. UVB penetrates the skin
surface and causes sunburns. Per my research, there is no sunscreen that blocks
100% of UVB rays and SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVB rays.
On the other hand, Protection Grade of UVA or PA is
a Japanese measurement of sun protection against ultraviolet A (“UVA”)
radiation. UVA penetrates deep into the dermis, the skin’s thickest layer. UVA
damages skin collagen and is the culprit of wrinkles and premature skin aging. Biore
Aquarich Sunscreen has PA++++ which translates to Strong UVA protection.
Considering the high SPF and PA of Biore Aquarich
Sunscreen, I love how it shields me from harmful UV rays, deters premature
aging, lowers skin cancer risks, prevents sunburns and tanning, and improves
the health of my skin.
Second, it is easily
applied and absorbed by the skin and does not leave a white cast.
With its water-based formulation, Biore Aquarich
Sunscreen can be easily applied to, and blends well with, any type of skin. I
also love the fact that when you apply it, you’d feel as if it was already
instantly absorbed by the skin. Unlike other sunscreens, you don’t have to wait
for too long before it gets absorbed by the skin. What further makes this
product great is the fact that it becomes invisible upon application and does
not leave a white cast on the skin.
Third, it is non-greasy,
non-sticky and does not feel heavy on the face.
I’ve tried sunscreens where, after applying and
leaving it on for 30 minutes, my face would feel sticky, greasy, and heavy.
Such is not the case with Biore Aquarich Sunscreen.
As I’ve previously mentioned, upon applying it,
you’d get the instantaneous feel that it was already absorbed by the skin. This
sunscreen also has a matte smooth finish so it doesn’t feel sticky and heavy on
the face.
Fourth, this sunscreen never caused me
any breakouts.
Fifth. It is sweat proof and waterproof.
I noticed that with Biore Aquarich Sunscreen, my
face doesn’t sweat as much when I am under the sun for long periods of time. I
wouldn’t know, though, how this sunscreen would hold up if you’re into
heavy-duty sports or all-day swimming.
Lastly, it does not dry out my skin; neither
does it make my face oily.
I have oily skin. Unlike other sunscreens that I’ve
used which made my face oily an hour or so after applying them, this sunscreen
retains its matte finish despite the lapse of a considerable time after its
application.
Neither does this sunscreen dry out my skin. In
fact, applying Biore Aquarich Sunscreen made my skin supple, smooth and
hydrated.
If you haven’t tried Biore Aquarich Sunscreen yet, I
hope that my enumeration above somehow convinced you to consider it. As for me,
I can truthfully and with all my heart say that Biore Aquarich Sunscreen would
be my last sunscreen love!!
